Krögel Maschinenbau GmbH & Co KG was founded in 1952 in Bocholt, Germany. Starting with maintenance work for local textile companies, the company quickly developed into a manufacturer of sophisticated machinery.

For more than 70 years, we have been successfully manufacturing high-quality machines and complex systems for our customers in a wide range of industries worldwide.

Today, a competent and motivated team supports customers as a partner in solving individual production tasks.

As a manufacturer of special machinery, our strength lies in the realisation of individual concepts exactly according to customer specifications. Thanks to our many years of experience, we can offer optimum solutions to your winding, coating, slitting and laminating requirements for all types of web materials.

We have also demonstrated our creativity and expertise in the successful implementation of a wide range of bespoke solutions.

1952

Foundation: Strobel repairs textile machinery.

1968

Acquired by H. Wilhelm Krögel from his father-in-law H. Strobel and renamed Wilhelm Krögel Maschinen & Apparatebau Design, manufacture and supply of machines for web-shaped materials.

1982

Delivery of the first complete carpet latexing system with a material width of 5,200 mm.

1986

Extension of the production area by a production hall and extension of the office and social rooms.

1988

Delivery of the first newly developed roller haul-off unit for foam extrusion systems for the plastics industry.

1992

Expansion of the assembly area with an additional assembly hall.

1994

Supply of a newly developed wide washing and impregnation system for technical textiles with a material width of 5,400 mm.

2001

Acquired by Spaleck GmbH & Co KG due to lack of family succession.

2006

Supply of a finishing line for technical textiles with a material width of 5,400 mm.

2010

Takeover and re-establishment of Krögel Maschinebau GmbH & Co KG by Josef Ernsten, Dirk Sachse Dipl.-Ing.(FH).

2011

Redesign and further development of the roller draw-off unit by combining it with the calibration unit.

2012

Supply of a complete storage and rewinding unit for a needled non-woven line for very sensitive and lightweight automotive non-wovens with a material width of 5,900 mm.

2014

Supply ( USA ) of a rewinding and fabric foaming machine for PP carpet backing with a material width of 5,400mm.

2015

Supply ( USA ) of a special roll cutting and fabric foaming machine for PVC floor coverings with a material width of 5,200 mm.

2016

Supply (Spain) of two landfill film take-off units with a material width of 8,000 mm.

2017

On 1 January 2017, current Managing Director Josef Ernsten will take his well-deserved retirement. He will be succeeded by his son Jörg Ernsten. Together with Managing Director Dirk Sachse, they will have overall responsibility for the company.

2018

Delivery of a coating machine with a material width of 5,400 mm.

2019

Invest in a new CNC-controlled drilling machine to increase the depth of our production.

2020

Supply of a complex re-reeler with a material width of 2,400 mm.

2022

70th anniversary of the Krögel company.

2023

Invest in a new CNC-controlled milling machining center including tool changer to increase the depth of our production.

2024

Delivery of a new complex longitudinal- and cross cutting system including a stacking device for chipboard.
