Mobile 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine

Triple camera enables precise measurements over a wide area

The WM series works on a new principle. A tracking camera captures near-infrared light emitted by seven infrared markers on the probe. In addition, the reference camera and the position camera provide high-precision measurement with a repeatability of ±10 μm, even over a wide range.

Position camera

Permanently tracks the light emitted by the probe to determine its position at all times.

Reference Camera

The WM Series has an internal camera that can detect camera rotations of ±90° to the left or right and ±30° up or down with very high accuracy by determining the position of an internal glass scale. Using this camera as a reference, 3D coordinates can be calculated.

The concept opens up new possibilities

The tracking camera only detects the near infrared light emitted by the infrared markers. As long as the probe is in the camera’s field of view, the position and orientation of the probe, and therefore the XYZ coordinate of the stylus, can be detected.

No movement restrictions with the wireless probe

There are no mechanical components or other driven parts, so measurements can be taken from any position. The software can be operated during the measurement via the display on the probe.

Can be used anywhere and flexibly

The WM Series eliminates the need to transport components to a test station or measuring room. It is mobile and easy to set up. This gives you the flexibility to perform 3D measurements anywhere.

Intuitive operation

3D coordinate measuring machines often use complicated and unfamiliar commands. The WM Series offers intuitive operation with pictures and symbols, making the system easy to use.
